As if donut holes weren't enough, a reader claims that in New York State, there is a monument to a Left Leg. Supposedly, it was erected to honour a wound received by Benedict Arnold in the War of Independence.
Ben was a hero at the time but he later switched to the British side - so maybe they tore his left leg monument down - with the same indignation displayed when they hauled Saddam Hussein from his pedestal.
If we're going to start honouring legs around here, how about we show those of Cyd Charisse? Now there are some gams that America can be proud of!
