AMPIA (the Alberta Motion Picture Industries Association) stil has tickets available for its annual celebration honouring Alberta's best productions and best craftspeople for projects produced in 2007.It will be a star-studded evening featuring a first-class prime rib dinner and (new this year) a special “After Party” with music and dancing immediately following the awards presentation.
It all happens on Saturday, April 26th at the Northlands Agricom in Edmonton.
On the afternoon of Awards day, at the Sutton Place hotel, AMPIA will present a "Broadcasters Panel" discussion with senior decision-makers from Canada's major broadcasters, the Canadian Television Fund and the CRTC.
This year's hosts include Jill Belland of CITY-TV Calgary, Mark Connolly of CBC, actress Rebecca Jenkins and actor Shaun Johnston.
A long-time friend of Levitated Apples, Alec Harrison of Red Shift Studios has three nominations this year for musical composition.
