The International Student Art Exhibition is taking place right now, from 16th to 25th April in the Main Mall of the College of Art.
THE INCOMPARABLE DOUG FRASER
Thinking about the Alberta College of Art, it's hard to believe that it is over twenty years since Doug Fraser graduated - and was promptly welcomed with open arms by the communications industry. Born in Lethbridge, he attended ACAD from 1980-84, then moved to graduate school in New York, receiving his Masters Degree from the School of Visual Arts, 1984-86.
He taught illustration at the College from 1992 to 2000.
His distinctive illustrative style (above) had enlivened the pages of Time, Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Coca-Cola, Nike, and others.
He now lives in Victoria, British Columbia with his wife Linda.
