Preserving the cowboy culture of the American west is more than reworking the gear and tack of times past - as evidenced by the group's imaginative ventures into such items as jewellery and personal accoutrements. This is one marvellous example.
Though working on separate continents, Scott Hardy in North America and Pablo Lozano in South America collaborated on a very special cross with a Western filigreed hanger.
Lozano designed the cross of braided natural rawhide that has a round, 20-plait braided element forming the top and arms, transitioning into a 28-plait round braided body.
Hardy's sterling silver cross is almost four inches high, fully filigreed and hand engraved with a flower center of 14K yellow gold. The hanger consists of a filigreed sterling silver concha one and a half inches in diameter also adorned with a 14K yellow gold flower center. On the reverse, a sterling silver TCAA logo binds the silver cross to the rawhide.
