Almost every item exhibited at the Traditional Cowboy Arts Association's "Cowboy Crossing" show sold within days of the show opening.

That includes some particular items this blog enthused over at the outset - which included Scott Hardy's (and collaborators) spectacular silver-mounted bridle set; Chuck Stormes' leather-mounted longhorns; and - a favourite - Cary Schwarz's elaborately figured western briefcase.

Shown here (click to enlarge) is an amazing necklace and bracelet set created by Pablo Lozano

Made from natural rawhide the set has bodies of 12-plait round braid merging into three 8-plait round braids intertwined to form an intricate twisted pattern.

The cross was created with a 16-plait round braid forming the top and each arm, transitioning into a 28-plait round braided body. The hanger is a 12-plait flat Trenza Patria braid.

Buttons of herringbone braid keep the hanger of the cross in place on the necklace.

Born from a family steeped in the cattle heritage of Argentina, Pablo Lozano began studying rawhide braiding at the age of fifteen with the late Don Luis Alberto Flores.  In 1987, he became an instructor at the Heritage Center in Tandil, in the southwest of Buenos Aires Province

The exhibition continues till January and all items remain on show.  See the whole remarkable display by clicking here:
