Click this headline for a background on Australia's amazing James Corbett - the man who turns scrap metal into eye-pleasing art.

James Corbett’s ingenious sculptures are created totally from car parts, some scrap pieces being over eighty years old. Occasionally, new parts are included to reflect modern technology but in every case, the original integrity of each part is carefully retained and it is rare that any part is bent or reshaped.

Hugely popular, the artist's work can be found in Switzerland, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates, as well as in North America . Most of his creations remain lifelike in appearance but he has also created various abstract pieces documenting his travels and satirizing politics.
