"I have been painting," she writes, "adding to my Jazz series. Hoping to build up a body of work which I can exhibit in Ottawa or Montreal where they will get good exposure. En verra.
I had three paintings accepted into a Surrealist show in the States which was quite exciting … and confusing as my work had to cross the border: a kind of Kafkaesque experience.
Just hope they make it back. I wasn’t able to attend myself and used UPS after Fedex told me they didn’t ship art! Strange!
On the Second of October, our town is having a sort of 'Glory to Your Ancestors' day and our local Beau’s Brewery is having its Oktoberfest so we anticipate bus loads of visitors.
It should be fun.
As part of the celebrations I have been asked by the VKH Historical Musee to put up some of my grandfather James Jephcott’s drawings and watercolours in the front hall gallery. None of them for sale of course, but visitors to the Gingerbread Capital of Ontario* will love to see Victorian art work.
The Beau’s have rented the Arbor Gallery to have a show of local artists and I will have a painting over there (for sale).
I also showed four small paintings at St. Brigid’s Irish Cultural Centre in Ottawa to help raise funds for the Ottawa Alzheimer Society. This is a good cause and I encourage all your Levitated Apples followers to help."
