Located in the Delfshaven district of Rotterdam, these old buildings were destined for demolition until someone came up with this eye-catching idea. The borough asked Schildersbedrijf N&F Hijnen to come up with a plan for the derelict structures - and this was the frm's solution.
Overnight, what was once one of the most unseen blocks of houses in Rotterdam has become - through the application of a double coat of paint - one of the most photographed structures in in the city. It has been agreed that the building will remain blue until the community decides its future.
