Michael Peters created Alphabetica as his graduating thesis at Yale. This project was inspired by his discussion with the Gesell Institute of Child Development at Yale, and its amusing and clever design hinted at a bright future. The idea was to create a playful modular set of letters that would demystify the difference between lower and upper case, and allow children to creatively discover the alphabet and abstract patterns.

From the familiar, pastoral packaging of Yorkshire Tea to the iconic logo of the Conservative party, the influence of Michael Peters's work has transformed design in commercial marketing.
Yes Logo, published later this month by Black Dog Publishing, traces a forty-year-career in which Peters bought, according to advertising authority Sir John Hegarty, 'the art of design into the heart of business'.
