Your last chance to see John William Waterhouse at the Royal Academy.

If you're fortunate enough to be in London between now and the second week of September, our friends at the Royal Academy remind you that the John William Waterhouse Exhibition will soon be closing.

Continuing until 13th September 2009, this romantic retrospective considers how the Pre-Raphaelite artist's paintings reflect his engagement with contemporary issues ranging from antiquarianism and the classical heritage to occultism and the 'New Woman'.

The show includes almost all the paintings which made him one of the most successful and critically acclaimed artists of his day.
