American artist Jason Mercier created these remarkable portraits of the late Michael Jackson and Heath Ledger using prescription pills.
The unusual medium serves to highlight both celebrities' troubled relationship with drugs.
In addition to Jackson and Ledger, the artist has also created pill mosaics of Courtney Love and Kelly Osbourne.
The images are to be displayed at the Ghettogloss Gallery in Los Angeles on 17th March.
After the Los Angeles show, the Celebrity Junk Drawer exhinition will then transfer to The Given in San Francisco, running from 2nd April to 31st May.
