If you appreciate a confident line and masterly water-colour, you should discover Danni Shinya Luo.

The Gallery Director at the always-innovative La Luz De Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles has a popular artist on display this February.

From the Fifth to the Twenty-Eighth of the month, all eyes are on the wonderfully inventive water colours of Danni Shinya Luo.

The show is called "Spiritual Deficiencies" - and if you enjoy sound draftsmanship, you'll enjoy the artist's colourful meditations on the beauty of the female figure, the relationships between women, and the psychological tension that cab exist between them.

The artist says that her inspiration comes from a variety of sources ranging from human fears, obsessions, and desires to elements of nature, cosmology, neurolinguistics and high fashion.

Her main medium is watercolor with ink, and her style is fluid and organic, entirely assured in its rendition.

Originally from Shanghai, China, Danni Shinya Luo moved to California in 1995. After a few years of private study (and an apprenticeship with Chinese watercolor master, Ding Ha) she was accepted into Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.

She majored in illustration and graduated with honour in 2006.
